Other Mauritius Visas

Mauritius Dependent Visa

Dependent visas are for spouses, children, and other dependents of Mauritian citizens or residents. Spouses and children of Mauritian citizens are exempt from visa requirements, meaning they do not need a visa to enter the country. However, spouses and children of foreigners who are on a residence or occupation permit in Mauritius must apply for a dependent permit to live in Mauritius. The dependent permit will then be valid until the main applicant’s permit is valid.

Mauritius Investment Visa

There is no investment visa in Mauritius, but foreigners can apply for an investor permit by making an investment of $50,000. The investor permit is the closest alternative to an investment visa and is valid for a maximum period of 10 years. Other ways of investing in Mauritius include an investment of at least $375,000 in either a property or a business activity. The $375,000 investment will eventually grant you long term residence in Mauritius.

The Mauritius self-employed permit is a permit issued to foreign self-employed individuals for a maximum period of 10 years. To qualify as a self-employed, you must operate as a one-person company and make an initial investment of USD 35,000.
