Investing a minimum of USD 375,000 will get you a Mauritius residence permit that will be valid as long as you own the property. This means that you will be allowed to live in Mauritius for as long as you wish, provided that you retain ownership of the property. Business Investment
Foreign investors can also get Permanent Residence by investing USD 375,000 in a qualifying business activity in Mauritius. The business activity can be in any of the following sectors: agriculture, audio-visual, banking, education, green energy, tourism, among others. This business investment will grant the foreigner a Permanent Residence Permit allowing them to work and live in Mauritius for 20 years. Dependents of a Permanent Residence Permit holder are also eligible for Permanent Residence Permit. Investor Category
Foreign investors can apply for a Mauritius Permanent Residence Permit (20 years) provided that they hold a valid occupation permit for at least three years before applying. Retired foreigners, having held a residence permit for three years, can qualify for a Permanent Residence Permit in Mauritius. The financial requirement includes transferring at least USD 54,000 during the preceding three years. This will give the retired foreigner 20 years on the island.
As per the latest budget amendment, foreign retirees can now get Mauritius permanent residence by investment. To be eligible, they must be at least 50 years and invest more than USD 200,000 in a government-approved property scheme. Buying a property in Mauritius will then give the retiree the right to live in Mauritius as long as the property ownership is retained.
